Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
When I had a baby at my side and other children in the cradle, I worked 12 hours a day cleaning floors and tear off wallpaper. Ha! The house was getting closer to finishing, but it was still a long distance to go. It would take time, money and my favorite shopping for furniture to decorate this home. To keep within budget, I began by taking my sons to estate sales looking for of diamonds. The routine we had for the week consisted of walking from Thursday to Saturday through garage sales to purchase a mix of old and new pieces as well as spending the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. It was kind of like this... Here's where my obsession with the restoration of antique furniture began. No matter what, the home was furnished. At the local market I was able to rent a tiny space, and also sold objects. My collection eventually grew so large that the room that I was living in was no longer adequate. Then I began hosting open houses at my house where over 1 000 people could visit in a single weekend and could purchase anything they wanted on the first floor. That's how my company Growing Days was born. Not only was my business expanding, but so was my sweet family too. I was trying to find that perfect balance of having to start a new business and be a mommy too. Growing Days just seemed to work. Nora joined us in 2013 as our 4th baby. My company was doing well but I was in need of a break. I took a break from furniture that was vintage to enjoy some quality time with my children. It was exactly what I needed at the time. After a few minutes the phone started getting busy. The people who called me were seeking help for their interior decorating and home improvements. It was mostly those who came to my open house for furniture. I began taking on clients at a time going at my own pace but it didn't take for long to have several accounts, and I was operating an entire home improvement business. Had you told me my venture would end up being an idea for the DIY Network show, I would probably have been astonished. It's true that I amused when I think of it.
