Laura Linney has been hailed as one of America's most well-known actors. Linney is renowned for playing strong characters that are as vulnerable. Her father was a renowned writer, however Linney was raised as a single child by her single-mother, a nurse. In the summer and with her father, Linney developed a passion for theatre. Linney eventually pursued acting first in Brown University then at Juilliard School. After graduating at Brown University in the year 2000, she started making her Broadway debut soon afterward. After two years of that, her first film was released and the following year, her debut on television. Since then, she has appeared in countless films and TV and stage productions. Her achievements have been numerous during her professional career, such as several Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. Although she has received numerous nominations, she has a passion for acting and has performed on stage and screen.
